Complete your CNA training at the Los Angeles Campus of American Medical Careers in 5 weeks. West LA College’s nurse aide program prepares students to take the state exam and earn certification for an entry-level position at a hospital or nursing home. The training includes 72 hours in the classroom and 128 hours of clinical training at a local nursing facility. The curriculum places emphasis on infection control, safety, physical care, and emotional and social support to patients. Students must commit to 100% class attendance in order to complete the required hours and graduate from the class. Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Angeles College prepares nursing assistant students for the role as a direct care professional in long-term, acute, and home health care facilities. As an integral part of the health care team, graduates will work under the direction of a registered nurse to promote patient comfort, safety, and restoration. How Do I Become A CNA in Los Angeles?

You must apply to the California Department of Public Health for certification.
