CNA Classes Laurel, MD

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) have a critical role in the delivery of healthcare in long-term care facilities. They collaborate with other members of the healthcare team in assisted living facilities, patients’ homes, and hospitals, working on the front lines to offer physical and emotional support to patients. Certified Nurse Aide programs provide adults with the basic skills to tend to patients’ most important needs. With additional training and certification, many CNAs can expand their role to assume a supportive role in the administration of medications, surgical procedures, and the delivery of babies. CNA programs also provide a strong foundation for those preparing to enroll in a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse program. The training and experience as a CNA may help candidates secure a spot in these competitive admission programs.
