CNA Classes Dallas, GA

Long-term care employers, nursing homes, and home health agencies are seeking to hire more nursing assistants to enhance the lives of their patients. The need for healthcare services, especially for the senior population, is greatly exceeding the availability to qualified caregivers. Record-breaking nursing home admissions will raise demand for nursing assistants and other health care providers, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. As new technology and prescription drugs expand life expectancy, the job outlook for CNAs will remain consistent throughout the next decade.

CNA classes provide comprehensive and speedy preparation for entry-level healthcare employment. State-approved didactic and practical training is an essential step for employment in long-term care. The Georgia State Nurse Aide Certification Evaluation is another critical step. Upon completion of the nurse aide program, graduates must apply to the Georgia Health Partnership to take the exam to be listed in active standing on the Nurse Aide Registry.

CNAs perform routine duties in a long-term care setting. They work under the supervision of a registered nurse to bathe, dress and feed patients, make beds and tidy rooms, measure and record vital signs and patient symptoms before a physical exam, position and turn patients, report any critical changes in patients’ behaviors or vitals, and assist immobile patients.

Your role as a nurse aide may inspire you to take a more active role in patient care. With just an additional year or two of study, you can prepare to take the NCLEX to become a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse.
