CNA Classes Brockton, MA

Certified Nursing Assistants help save lives, provide very personal care, and comfort those in need. Healthcare careers are booming. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment opportunities for nursing assistants are expected to grow 12 percent from 2016 to 2026. If you’re a great CNA, you’ll have numerous career options as acute and long-term care facilities are always on the lookout for professional direct care providers.

A CNA’s duties revolve around the care and comfort of patients or residents. Duties include measuring and recording vital signs, observing patients and reporting concerns to doctors and nurses, dressing wounds, moving patients from the bed to the wheelchair, answering call lights, bathing, dressing, and grooming patients, sterilizing medical equipment, and assisting with rehabilitative treatments.

Nursing assistant classes consist of theory and practical instruction to prepare adults for the role. If you respect human life and have compassion for those who are ill or injured, a career in health might be a good fit after you gain the skills to care for patients in accordance with state laws. Your training and experience as a CNA can be a first step to a career in nursing. Many nursing programs in Massachusetts require CNA certification as a prerequisite for admission.
