CNA Classes Roseville, MI

A nurse aide works with nurses and physicians to assist patients or residents with daily activities, meet patients’ physical and mental health needs, and function as an integral member of the health care team. As a nurse aide, you must be compassionate and patient as you assist patients with those tasks they are unable to do for themselves. Your role and responsibilities will be determined by the type of health care setting. Most CNAs work in long-term care where there is a great need for competent workers to care for the growing baby boomer generation.

In a long-term facility, your duties may include communicating concerns to nurses and physicians, assisting patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating, supporting nurses during diagnostic procedures and restorative treatment, setting up medical equipment, responding to emergencies, and observing patients and reporting concerns to nurses. CNA classes in Michigan cover a minimum of 75 hours of theory and hands-on instruction to prepare students to take the State Exam. Opportunities to provide direct patient care during the clinical rotation give students an outlet to practice the skills learned in the classroom. They will receive a license to practice as a Certified Nurse Aide after passing the Written and Skills components of the Michigan Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation.
