Online CNA classes are now readily available due to a COVID-19 waiver offered in many states. Programs in Texas follow a template that is similar to the traditional face-to-face classes. The only exception is the delivery of the theoretical component of the program through live online sessions. CNA training providers who offer the online/hybrid option do so with the approval of the Department of Aging Disability Services (DADS). They provide a unique opportunity to prepare for a healthcare career through the convenience of online learning. Instructors provide the same great personalized support to all students. Simulated lab sessions designed to help students develop essential patient care skills may be presented through live or pre-recorded videos on-campus. The lab sessions will be followed by the required clinical rotations at approved health care facilities. Graduates will take the Texas Nurse Aide Exam to be added to the state registry to practice as Certified Nursing Assistants.
