Complete your CNA training at the Los Angeles Campus of American Medical Careers in 5 weeks. West LA College’s 12-week class prepares students to take the state exam and earn certification for an entry-level position at a hospital or nursing home. The training includes 72 hours in the classroom and 128 hours of clinical training at a local nursing facility. The curriculum places emphasis on infection control, safety, physical care, and emotional and social support to patients. Students must commit to 100% class attendance in order to complete the required hours and graduate from the class. Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Angeles College

Angeles College prepares nursing assistant students for the role as a direct care professional in long-term, acute, and home health care facilities. As an integral part of the health care team, graduates will work under the direction of a registered nurse to promote patient comfort, safety, and restoration. The curriculum is divided into classroom, laboratory, and clinical care experiences.  Students spend 50 hours of the program the classroom and the final 114 hours developing clinical skills in the laboratory and licensed health care facility.
