CNA Classes St Petersburg, FL

As front-line workers, Certified Nursing Assistants often contribute to the first impressions formed of a health care facility. They provide compassionate care and attend to the needs of patients in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, home health agencies, personal homes, and hospice centers. This line of work is beneficial if you’re passionate about helping others. Your duties may include cleaning patients’ rooms, making beds, attending to patients’ personal care needs such as bathing, eating, and dressing, taking vital signs, observing patients and relaying vital information to doctors and nurses, and providing companionship and support.

If you’re interested in becoming a CNA, you must sit for the Florida State CNA exam after completing an approved nurse assistant class. There is also the option to challenge the exam in Florida. CNA test prep classes provide a shorter and more affordable option to develop the clinical skills in preparation for the exam. There is a huge demand for CNAs, which will most likely increase as the baby boomer population age. Healthcare institutions that care for the elderly are always in need of new workers.
